Bootcamp 2: Program Overview

Bootcamp 2 is a comprehensive,
hands-on digital literacy and technology program designed to equip participants with essential 21st-century technical skills.

Program Details

Dates: July 27 – August 28, 2026

Time: Daily sessions from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Location: ECWA Gospel Academy, Lanto Road, Kuje, Abuja

Core Curriculum Highlights

Foundational Computing: Essential computer maintenance, operation, and Microsoft Office productivity tools.

Programming & Web Development: Introduction to coding and web design using HTML, CSS, and Python, alongside Scratch programming for
development.

Data & Analytics: Practical data analysis training utilizing Excel and Power BI.

Creative Design: Graphic design modules covering industry-standard tools like CorelDraw and Photoshop.

Emerging Tech: Introductory Robotics integrated with Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts.

The month July27th was Extra. wonderful with my Bootcamp 2 Digital literacy where the following insight was as inducted :

INSIGHT OF THE AUGUST BOOTCAMP2

THEME: DIGITAL LITERACY

The bootcamp2 was really a success that the participant was literally transform to the bootcamp2, digital literacy.

The first week of the program was the odyssey of MICROSOFT PACKAGE where the fundamental of the application was introduce, But before the introduction of the package, The participant was drill about the BOOTING and SHUTINGDOWN DOWN OF THE COMPUTER SYSTEM.

The participant was drill on how to use and how the finger is been place on the KEYBOARD. The participant was drill on the how to MOUSE and the functionality of BUTTONS. The participant was drill on HOW TO CLOSE, MAXIMIZE, MINIMIZE the DESKTOP OPEN APPLICATION. The participant understood the procedure and the method of the computer system.

Proceeding to the fundamental of Microsoft package was introduce to the participant where they were trained of the following: 1. MICROSOFT WORD and the uses of it, for documentation analysis and the uses of the ribbons tabs keys for editing of document for private and official purposes. 2. MICROSOFT EXCEL and the uses of the application for arithmetic and data analysis purposes. The participant was clarify in the uses of the ribbon and their uses even using the application map out graphs and formulars 3. MICROSOFT POWERPOINT: The participant practicalise the uses of the powerpoint for presentation and the method of presentation was explain to participant. The participant was clarify in the uses of the procedure to make a slide in PPT. The Bootcamp2: Digital Literacy was a huge success in the aspect of Microsoft package where the started from fundamental to zenith in the aspect of 1. Microsoft word 2. Microsoft Excel 3. Microsoft PPT BASIC MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLESHOOTING. The participant was trained about the part of the computer on laptop and desktop. The participant was understood the functionality of the following: 1. Ram 2. Cmos Battery 3. Keyboard 4. Hard disk 5. Screen The participant was trained on how to replace and identify some common error and how to replace it themselves either on laptop or desktop. The participant was trained on how to trouble shoot common error of the computer before consulting a computer engineer.

INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTERCODING.

The coding Bootcamp2 was a success were the participant was trained in basic computer coding using QBASIC and the move further to PYTHON programming. The participant understood QBASIC and the meaning of some functionality of the code, where they can debug error them self in a code. In the aspect of python the participant understood the uses of python for data analysis and the uses of python for drawing the participant was taught on how to debug error in python programming.

Computer CoDing FOR KIDS

The children was not left out in their programming because they were trained on building blocks with scratch programming language where they do it their self DIY. The scratch programming for kids was a huge success because the children work it out their self and understood the function of the blocks and then used it to build their own code from fundamental to advance where they learn about python for kids using scratch programming language. GRAPHIC DESIGN The graphic Bootcamp2 was great where the participant know how to use the Corel draw application and they understood the fundamental in how to manipulate line using the shape tools and the tools tabs

WEB DEVELOPMENT.

The web development bootcamp2 was wonderful and fantastic, the participant was able to understand the function and usage of the language HTML AND XHTML. The also understood how the syntax of the program works. The participant build their website using the basic of HTML and CSS where they where taught explicit and implicit CSS. The participant understood the function of the HTML and CSS syntax.

AI AUTOMATION

The AI Bootcamp2 was a practical camp where the participant learn how to send prompt and how the AI work and they know the advantage and disadvantage of AI. The participant generate educative prompt for the AI and they know how to it works. The Gen AI and Gen Alpha even the Gen Z was not exclusive they where all inclusive for the program, They where taught the types of Artificial intelligence for their day to day life how it ease work load.

DATA ANALYSIS.

The participant was train on how to get data and how to use Microsoft power BI to analysis data. The participant was also instructed on how to use Excel to analysis data as it was the fundamental of using school generated record by guessing to analysis data where they use it to know the best student and the least student of the school and a specific class room. The participant plotted graph with excel and try using some inbuilt formula to calculate the average and the total of the student in the classroom. The same data was used and import into power BI in that process they learnt how to sort data and delete row and column in power BI Thanks to all participant.
